  • Author of two industry books: The Wedding Expert’s Guide To Sales and Marketing and The Invitation Business Report
  • Contributor for Vows Magazine, Stationery Trends Magazine & Mobile Beat, and numerous webinars and podcasts (check out my portfolio here)
  • National speaker, having taken the stage at Wedding MBA, WeddingWire World, and National Stationery Show, among others
  • Producer of two wedding industry educational conferences

Needless to say, when you work with my team, you get access to the knowledge of a company with a total industry focus and a passion for all things weddings.

What drives you to help clients?
Working directly with these passionate owners within the bridal industry has been the most satisfying. I get to see them answer profound questions – who are they, what is their superpower, and why should people care? That is transformative.

What motivates you?
Being a designer is my day job, but being creative is just what I do. I can’t help it. Whether it’s parenting, writing, drawing, volunteering, or thinking – I just like the act of making something from nothing. It feels like magic to me.

What is one fun fact about you?
When I’m not working on websites, collateral, and logos I help my actor teen son with his professional auditions for TV shows and blockbuster movies.

What drives you to help clients?
Building the connection between a small business and its clients is what drives me to continue the work that I do. This experience is the whole reason I started my professional journey in this space – out of a passion for optimizing systems, creating meaningful relationships with clients, and producing purpose-driven content through analytics and strategy.

What are you good at or specialize in?
Over the last 6 years, I’ve worked with over 250 businesses across the nation, helping them achieve their goals through content creation, project management, SEO optimization, business development, client management, and my personal favorite – being a champion for their business!

What is one fun fact about you?
Before diving full-time into marketing, I worked for several years creating wedding magic as a server, bartender, decorator, day of coordinator, and food/beverage director at multiple venues!

Colleen Cole, Art Director/Senior Designer

What drives you to help clients?
I’m consistently motivated by pushing creative boundaries and being able to draw a connection between my efforts and the client’s success. Nurturing projects from ideation through launch and seeing results is truly exciting.

What’s your marketing superpower?
My superpower is my ability to balance aesthetics with functionality. A website needs to be visually compelling, but no amount of beauty will go very far if it’s not user-friendly.

What is one fun fact about you?
I took up geocaching about 7 years ago after researching the activity for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Since then, I’ve logged hundreds of miles hiking through the woods and exploring new areas and have found over 2000 geocaches along the way.

What drives you to help clients?
Being a small business owner myself, I have a desire to help other business owners grow their sales through online efforts. However, the owners must be fully committed to assisting in the process including offering insights into what makes them unique.

What are you good at or specialize in?
I was a small business owner of a DJ company and understand the needs of SMB owners in their websites. The biggest need is to generate leads that turn into real customers. My specialty is helping create a website that gets visibility in search and generates leads.

What is one fun fact about you?
My wife and I met in a Yahoo! chatroom while living in different States.

What’s your number one tip for clients?
When it comes to website redesign, my #1 client tip is to do your “homework” in a timely manner. It may feel like a hassle, but the sooner we have what we need from you, the quicker and smoother the process.

What’s your marketing superpower?
My marketing superpower is client empathy. I get “wedding people.” They’re creative, passionate, and enthusiastic. They also have a hard time, like most folks, balancing all the facets of running a small business. As they say, “been there, done that.”

What is one fun fact about you?
I have a pretty good sense of humor and enjoy making people laugh!

My passion for helping small businesses grow in combination with my love for web design.

What’s your number one tip for clients?
Make it as easy as possible for your ideal customer to do what you want them to do.

What’s your marketing superpower?
ADHD is actually my marketing superpower! My passion for learning and trying new things pushed me to foster a unique level of in-depth experience in the separate arenas of SEO, web development, and copywriting, giving me a powerful perspective I love using to help our clients.

What is one fun fact about you?
I find a lot of joy and creative fulfillment by exploring different art mediums such as drawing, photography, painting, and creative writing.

What motivates me is doing a great job for my employer because then my family and I can achieve our goals and aspirations.

Our Business Philosophy

Our clients understand that SEO is a strategy with long-term benefits — creativity pays the price for being rushed, which often means less effectiveness and fewer results.

We follow a website-first approach since great SEO does little for conversion rates if prospects land on a website that is difficult to use. Therefore, we will not accept payment to increase online visibility for an outdated website that doesn’t provide value.

A stronger website doesn’t just win over new leads; it helps your SEO by ensuring visitors stay on your site longer, which tells Google your content is worthwhile. So if you intend to reach out for SEO support but your site needs improvement, we will focus on your web design first.

All About Inclusivity

Yes, business is about profitability. For me, it is also about integrating my business experience, expertise, and personal values to help my clients and better the industry. On a personal note, I have always cared about the disabled community having served as a caretaker for several disabled family members over the years. Because of the impact of this experience, I am proud to introduce a tool that helps the website experience of people with disabilities.

We as an industry talk about including couples regardless of gender combination, religion, or race. The industry websites we design, talk about the importance to our client’s businesses or show photos to represent this inclusion. You can’t help a sight-impaired person who can’t navigate your website by showing pictures of them, you can only do what is possible to make their experience better. I invite you to join me in making websites a more inclusive space for ALL.

“If you want to work with someone who has a strong inner compass, Brian is who you should pick. When I was preparing to launch my book, Wedding Planning for Spoonies, Brian was one of two people who reached out to me after my first DIY press release. Without knowing me at all, nor having read my book beforehand, Brian believed in my book’s mission to help people with disabilities plan and enjoy their weddings. He did something that I never thought someone would do. Brian sent me a spreadsheet of his industry contacts for me to query about my book. Because of this my book was featured on multiple sites, and I did a podcast episode with Budget Savvy Bride (the book that helped me plan my own wedding). He gave me that amazing resource and never charged me a dime for it. That was a tremendous kindness and I can’t recommend him more.”

Meara Bartlett,
Writer of Wedding Planning For Spoonies

Our Guiding Principles

  1. Website visitors are drawn toward clarity and repelled by confusion.
  2. Poor content is a recipe for being ignored.
  3. What is written without effort is usually read without pleasure.
  4. Your website is like speed dating. People make snap judgments in less than a second — if they are not attracted, they go to the next suitor (aka your competitor).
  5. Two-way conversations are how you change a couple’s inner narrative. Skip the script and appeal to their emotions by reading them. Your website serves as your first introduction, so make sure it sticks.
  6. Couples are convinced by a combination of senses: they must see themselves in your photos, taste the details in your food, hear the music you select, and feel the words you’re telling them. Weddings are sensory experiences, so you must play to their senses to earn their trust.

A Bit About Brian from Brian

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I spent my formative years working in beach clubs and banquet facilities. I was like the “The Flamingo Kid” (movie from the eighties with Matt Dillon) So naturally, I learned a lot about sales and creating a winning customer experience. (Back then, it was for the gratuities!) Today, those skills have evolved into a career rooted in the wedding and events industry, where serving others is like second nature.

In my spare time, I always played paddleball competitively — another talent that came from the streets of Brooklyn. Now I am all in with pickleball. I also love to sing and act (for fun) but have since been outperformed by my two kids, Eric and Jordan. You can always count on me for karaoke, though. In addition, I love comedy, writing poetry, and learning more about the human experience through spiritual practice.
